We always welcome support from parent, carer, friends and members of the community. We believe you can add an enormous value to the children’s learning opportunities. There are different ways of getting involved. Would you like to get involved in helping in the class room? Are you available for school visits? If you have any time that you could offer to support our children whether it be on a regular basis or just on occasions we would love to hear from you.
What skills do you have to offer? Are you a qualified football coach? Do you enjoy music? Have you travelled? Can you speak another language? All of these are just examples of some of the skills that we would love you to be able to share with our children.
Welton St. Mary’s Primary Academy is committed to the safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All volunteers will be subject to a DBS check, prior to working with our children.

Thank you to all pupils, parents, carers and members of the community who support the calendar of events run by the School Friends. Your support – be it through donating your time, prizes or simply by being the cash dispenser for your children to spend at these events – has helped give pupils more opportunities, experiences and fun.
The fundraising from school friends has enabled us to provide enhanced experiences and resources for our children. Our combined efforts have contributed towards the lego workshop, school sports uniform and in the past your support has helped us to buy trim trails, classroom resources and subsidise trips. The overall aim is always to top up funds to buy the ‘extra bits’ and we try hard to ensure all children at the school benefit in a variety of ways.
Equally, we hope our efforts provide the school community with some great social events – the pupil discos and film nights being particularly well supported this year.
But we’d love some new ideas.
Friends is made up of a friendly group of parents, grandparents, carers and teachers who would love to welcome you on board the team. If you would like to join or wish to find out more, please contact us
